WHISKEY (and Gin) TASTING
Pig’s Nose – In Gloucestershire it is said that this blended Scotch is “as soft and smooth as a Pig’s Nose.” We think you should decide for yourself.
Sheep Dip – named from the time when farmers hid their home-made whisky from excise officers in barrels labeled “Sheep Dip”, this blended whisky is crafted from 16 single malts.
Edinburgh Gin – Produced in Fife in small single batches using an ancient hand beaten copper pot still.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 7-9 PM
Cachaca is Brazilian rum and it is unique and delicious. Avua Cachaca will be presenting both Prata and Amburana cachaca in a comparative tasting with “traditional” rums, which will demonstrate both differences and similarities, and you can also try it in a cocktail. We can’t teach you to speak Portuguese, but you will be saying “obrigado” when you leave!
